The Stage is Waiting ...
Who am I?

Hi!

I am Madiha Taha

An IBA Alumna;

I joined the Ikebana fraternity in 2018 and since then have been an active member by taking part in various Ikebana exhibitions over the years which includes The Annual Flower Show at Seaview, KSSG Exhibition at the Dolmen Mall, Japan Fest at Arts Council and many more. By 2024, I had obtained my official certification as a Sogetsu Teacher and from there onwards my professional career as an Ikebana Artist and Trainer began.

In July 2025, I launched my very first commercial project by the name of “The Ikebana Get-together”, a five senses workshop intended to focus on the meditative side of Ikebana.

However, not a single of those achievements mentioned earlier would have been possible if I did not have the common motivator at every step to continue my journey and that is to;

quotes

“Stay on the path of personal growth even more when it seems like the toughest choice”.

There is something very personal that I want to share with the reader over here; I admit to have suffered with depression for many years.

I am a mother of three beautiful kids and my eldest happens to be a differently abled child. Being a full time mother and a caretaker took a toll on my mental health for the longest period of time. But as the time passed, there were certain things that saved me in my darkest hours. And amongst them was creating and writing an Instagram blog for my eldest son – I called it SmileLikeKhizer.

Pouring my heart into this blog as I wrote and ofcourse, practicing/journaling the passion journey of my Ikebana career turned out to be the best decisions of my life as these two activities became my saviors and I was able to climb out of the pit I had fallen into many years prior.

I never had enough time to spare myself therapy but doing these two things gave me the meditative help I needed. I started delving more and more in the world of Ikebana where I enjoyed the process of creating beautiful arrangements. A process that felt like a therapy in itself to recollect my inner thoughts and be proud of my artistic creations. That’s where I believe my Ikebana journey truly started. I started appreciating the practice of the art so much that I yearned for more knowledge, specially after every milestone achieved.

So,
who am I?
I know who I am.
I'm the guy - the protagonist, the hero ...
and every story needs a hero!

So let me introduce myself again to you.

Hi!

I am Madiha – A person who was lost and in search of a path that could help redefine my destiny.

On my way, I found a friend by the name of Ikebana who helped me uplift and love myself once again.

And today, in return for its support to help me reclaim my self esteem; I have chosen to traverse a path where I am determined to honor it by mastering it one step at a time and in the process spread its positive vibe among people who would truly need it.
